How To Find Us

Broadhalfpenny Down, Hyden Farm Lane, Hambledon, PO8 0UB

Directions to the Broadhalfpenny Down Cricket Ground and The Bat & Ball Inn:

PLEASE PARK ON THE GROUND NOT IN THE BAT & BALL CAR PARK

From London and the North:

The A3 will take you southwards to Petersfield. By-pass the town on this road and continue 4.25 miles through the South Downs cutting and past Queen Elizabeth Country Park to the Clanfield exit (immediately after going under a bridge). This slip road turns left and left again to cross over the A3 At the mini roundabout just off the bridge take the first exit left; the road will bend to the right and lead to Clanfield 1.5 miles away. In Clanfield, follow the road as it bends to the left at the 'Rising Sun' inn. Continue for 200 yards to a vintage car garage on your left and take the right fork. Continue through open fields for approximately 1.5 miles to a crossroads at the top of the hill. The 'Bat & Ball' inn is on your right and you should turn right here, after 80 metres the gate onto Broadhalfpenny Down Cricket Ground is on your left, opposite the pub car park. From the A3 by-pass at Petersfield it is about 10 minutes to the turn off for Clanfield and then another 5 minutes to the ground.

From the South and A27(T):

From the M27/A27(T) take the A3(M) and travel northwards for 7 miles to the Clanfield exit. This is approximately 1.5 miles beyond Horndean where the A3(M) becomes the A3(T). The slip road leads to a minor T-junction. Turn left here for Clanfield and follow the directions given above to reach the Broadhalfpenny Down Cricket Ground.

From Winchester and the West:

Join the A272 going eastwards from Winchester, the M3 or the A31. Continue on the A272 until you reach the crossroads with the A32 at the West Meon Hut. Turn right here on to the A32 and travel southwards for approximately 5 miles. Just before entering Droxford village turn left onto the B2150 and cross over the River Meon. Continue on the B2150 for 3.5 miles to reach Hambledon village. From the main village street turn left onto the Clanfield road. The 'Bat & Ball' inn is at the crossroads at the top of the hill about 2 miles from Hambledon. Turn left and the Broadhalfpenny Down Cricket Ground is on your left opposite the 'Bat & Ball' inn. The main gate to the ground is 80 metres from the crossroads opposite the pub car park.
